Recently I got the red ring of death (rrod) on my Xbox 360. Obviously I needed to fix my 360 so I could get back to playing Guitar Hero. I looked all over the web to find a way to fix my Xbox and finally came upon something that actually worked. This guide saved me lots of time and money that I could have wasted trying any other way. Most likely your Xbox is out of warranty like mine was, so it would have cost $150 send it back to Microsoft and have them fix it. Why send it to Microsoft when you can fix your Xbox for practically free! To wrap this up, all you have to do is go to this website to download a copy of the only repair guide that fixed my problems!

Guitar Hero and Rock Band controllers are storming the market at a fast pace as the latest two games in both series, Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band 2, hit stores in hopes of great holiday sales. It was only a short matter of time before Gene Simmons wanted in on the action. He’s has never been one to turn up an opportunity to market his Gene specially designed Axe guitar for all versions of Rock Band and Guitar Hero on PS2 and PS3. It marks the first time the design has been licensed as a replica.
The wireless guitar has 40 hours of battery life, a 30-foot wireless range, two sets of fret buttons, a strum bar, a whammy bar and Gene’s superimposed autograph and mugshot.
The release date for the PS2/PS3 version is November 15 with a price of $79.99. Work is already underway for a Wii version for Guitar Hero, due out December 1, a PC version for Guitar Hero and Rock Band, due January 31, and an Xbox 360 version for Rock Band and Guitar Hero in April.
In addition to the great new list of songs and new instruments, Guitar Hero World Tour’s music mixing program was highly awaited for game players to explore their inner Mozarts. Custom tracks can be created by using an interface to assign notes for all 3 instruments, it can be saved as playable tracks and then shared online through “GH Tunes”, Activision’s Guitar Hero song sharing service.
Shortly after launch, fans of all gaming genres got to work paying guitar homage to their favorite game tunes. These tracks have become incredibly popular on GH Tunes, storming the top 50 list.
As of yesterday, the game-inspired songs in on the highest rated charts on GH Tunes are:
1. “Cerulean City” from Pokemon
6. “Spark Mandrill” from Mega Man X
11. “Bubble Bobble” from Bubble Bobble
17. “Banjo Rockooie” from Banjo Kazooie
18. “Airman” from Mega Man 2
20. “Electric Chocobo” from Final Fantasy
22. “Still Alive” from Portal
23. “Brimstar” from Metroid
25. “Green Hill Zone” from Sonic the Hedgehog
42. “Farewell Hyrule” from The Legend of Zelda
44. “Doom Win Music” from Doom
When the service first started, remakes of the Super Mario Bros. and Legend of Zelda themes topped the rankings, then were missing from the servers, likely due to Activision enforcing copyright rules for Nintendo. Nintendo and Activision have not yet commented on the deletion of the fan-made songs. Tis could be very bad news.
Just weeks after Guitar Hero World Tour came out, gamers have made and uploaded more than 25,000 playable songs using the game’s “GH Tunes”.
Now Activision is now considering charging for them…
In an earnings call today, Activision Blizzard CEO Bob Kotick said that the “GHTunes” is a great success that shows the way to a new business model: “GHTunes has attracted over 25,000 user-generated songs,” he said during opening. “That means that we will likely have up to 100,000 songs by year’s end.… The ability to offer these songs on a subscription basis may very well [present] the newest opportunity in our subscription portfolio.”
Currently, the gamers using the GH Tunes music-creation tools are limited to uploading five songs. Downloads don’t appear to be limited though. This addition is all free with a purchase of the game.
Guitar Hero: World Tour players, would you be interested in a subscription model for playing user-generated songs? What would the service have to include?

There are many reports of unsatisfied Guitar Hero: World Tour owners and because of that Activision has released a free PC application to correct drum sensitivity issues.
The program connects to the drums via a Midi to USB cable and corrects any pads requiring an large amount of pressure to register the hits. Users without a Midi-USB cord can obtain one for free from Activision by filling out a form.
Heidi Klum can be seen below getting so excited playing the new Guitar Hero game, “Guitar Hero: World Tour” that the strips during the game!
